Zeynep Ton joined the Harvard Business School faculty in 2002. She currently teaches an MBA elective course titled Coordinating and Managing Supply Chains. She also teaches in the executive education course titled Managing the Supply Chain: The General Manager’s Perspective. In the past, Professor Ton has taught the required first-year course in Technology and Operations Management. Professor Ton's research focuses on the critical role of store operations in retail supply chains. Her research examines how to design retail store processes and manage store labor to ensure that both in-store logistics and customer-service activites are performed successfully.
A native of Turkey, Professor Ton received her B.S. in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and her D.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
Professor Ton and her husband, Carlos, have two sons, Ali and Hakan.
